The Practical Nursing (PN) Program provided by the Ohio Business college is 44 weeks or four quarters in length. The program covers a combination of theory, nursing skills lab, simulation lab, and clinical experiences. Once you graduate from the PN program, you will be fully qualified to write to the NCLEX-PN® to become licensed as an LPN in the state of Ohio.

Program Overview

Admission

If you intend to enroll in Practical nursing School at OBC, you may have to meet several requirements. For example, you will need to pass a criminal record check, have at least a 2.0 grade average in any previous academic work, and score 15 or higher on the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (SLE). A few other initial steps you will take to get enrolled include:

Apply for admission to OBC
Visit a campus near you
Complete your application and submit the admission fee
Provide OBC with high-school transcripts, GED certification, and prior college transcripts
Meet with a representative from admissions at OBC
Meet with a financial aid administrator
Complete your entrance assessment
Schedule classes, order textbooks, and attend orientation

Career Opportunities

Once you train to be a nurse with a fast track nursing program at the Ohio Business College, you are equipped to step into a career that is in high demand. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook, a growth of 9 percent is expected between 2020 and 2030, which equates to adding around 63,800 new jobs in addition to the 688,100 already available.
