Ohio Business College’s Allied Health programs will prepare you for a career in the medical field. Our caring instructors have real world experience will teach you the necessary skills to succeed in the medical assisting profession over the course of our comprehensive program. Medical Assisting (Diploma):

Our experienced and knowledgeable instructors teach a curriculum based not only on textbook learning, but hands-on as well. They will show you how to be the best medical assistant you can be. By the time you are through with the program, you will be able to competently work the front and back ends of a medical facility. Upon completion of the program, graduates are eligible to sit for the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) and Registered Medical Assistant exams, which can boost your chances of finding a job after you graduate. Practical Nursing (Diploma):

he Practical Nursing (PN) Program provided by the Ohio Business college is 44 weeks or four quarters in length. The program covers a combination of theory, nursing skills lab, simulation lab, and clinical experiences. Once you graduate from the PN program, you will be fully qualified to write to the NCLEX-PN® to become licensed as an LPN in the state of Ohio.

In our program, you will gain exposure to the following subject matter:

• Maintaining patient records
• Initiate, maintain, and monitor IVs within the LPN Scope of Practice
• Provide Individualized patient care
• Documenting patient health attributes after observation
• Assisting with procedures and tests as RNs and doctors require
• Using certain types of medical equipment to provide individualized patient care.
• Communicating patient care plans with supervisors
• Interacting with both patients and their loved ones

Accounting & Business Management (Associate's):
This associate degree will provide you with the training and skills needed to excel in the fast-paced fields of business and accounting. This accounting concentration builds on a business foundation to include progressive accounting skills in general, tax, and payroll accounting. Upon graduation, students with have developed the in-demand skills needed to perform business and accounting functions for managerial decision-making situations.

Business Administration Specialist (Diploma):
The Business Administration Specialist diploma program delivers students with a foundation in the essential business skills needed in any size business or organization. Our hands-on business administration courses equip students with real-world knowledge in Accounting, Business, Human Resource Management, and Marketing. Students will have the ability to enhance their computer office skills by taking courses in word processing, spreadsheets, and graphics presentation.

Business Administration Specialist (Associate's):
With an associate degree in business administration, you can find yourself prepared to work in many different areas, including banking, human resource management, retail, and administration. You might choose to apply your skills at a large corporation or small business, or you may decide to utilize them to start your own business or embark on an entrepreneurship path. The Associate of Applied Business in Business Administration degree program at Ohio Business College gives you true flexibility to chart your own course and design your own future.

Office Administration (Associate's):
Our Office Administration degree program will help you to develop necessary technical skills while demonstrating exactly what it takes to operate in an office environment efficiently and effectively. Throughout your career training, the emphasis is on gaining expertise in software applications, as well as developing decision-making and interpersonal skills. Students not only become proficient in various types of software, but are also able to provide support in the use of these programs.

Real Estate Pre-Licensing (Certificate):
As a real estate sales agent, you will serve as the primary point of contact between buyers and sellers, present at open houses, appraise properties and market listings that are currently available. You’ll be in charge of making sure buyers and sellers both get what they want. Being a successful real estate sales agent takes great customer service skills, business acumen and sales ability. Our comprehensive curriculum includes coursework in the subjects of Appraisal, Finance, Real Estate Law and Real Estate Principles and Practices. Our instructors will help you hone these skills during the course as well.

It’s no secret that there is a demand skilled trade workers. As more current workers continue to reach retirement age, there may be a shortage of skilled individuals to work important jobs, such as driving tractor trailers or servicing air conditioning units. Ohio Business College is proud to offer a Class A CDL program, Electrician Program and an HVAC/R program to prepare the next generation of skilled trades workers.

Heating, Ventilation, Air Condition, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R):
Ohio Business College also offers an HVAC/R program designed to prepare students for an entry-level role as an HVAC technician. In our 64 credit hour program, students learn the essentials of HVAC/R systems, installation, repair and more that they need to be successful as HVAC/R professionals.

Electrician:
At Ohio Business College, you can enroll in a diploma program that can prepare you for an entry-level position as an electrician, providing skills and services that are needed in a variety of settings, including residential, commercial and industrial. Whether it’s wiring a new building, fixing an electrical problem, or getting old wiring up to code, Ohio Business College can get you the hands-on training you need to become employed in this vital field.

Truck Driving Academy:
A Class A CDL qualifies a driver to operate a vehicle with a gross combination weight rating (GCWR) of more than 26,000 pounds. GCWR is a vehicle’s maximum allowable mass, which varies depending on the vehicle. OBC’s Class A CDL program is offered at our Dayton campus, which is strictly for our Truck Driving Academy. In addition to learning the skills you need to confidently step up into the cab of a big rig, you will also be able to take the Class A CDL exam on site.
